Beach gals

Colored with Prismas.   The gold cs is by AMuse.  The lattice punch is Martha Stewart.  The "sky" is a piece of dp I have had for a long time and I cannot identify - IRL it does look like a pretty sunset!
(I am still having the most frustrating problems connecting as we are are in a fringe area for Verizon -grrr....)

Marriage is a Scrapbook

I used this sentiment combined with an anniversary verse inside the card.  It is a Lockhart image, cut and embossed with Labels 4 (Nestabilities).  The DP is from a Recollections set.

29th Birthday?!?!?!

These Art Impressions gals should always be good for a chuckle, and the caption only adds to it. The ribbon is from Michael's.  I colored with chalk pencils and shiny gel pens. I am close to 50 cards in my effort to do 100 cards in 100 days without purchasing additional supplies. I started June 4 - so I am hoping to finish in about 60 days.

Puppy Dog Tail

This dog image was in my WishRAK stash, colored with Twinkling H20.  The bg is from a DCWV garden stack, and the "dog" dp is from a pack I got at Big Lots.  The ribbon is Ribbon Boutique, and the tag is Riveting (SU).

For Marilyn

Dale asked me to make a card for his wife for their anniversary.  I hope she will like this.
The butterfly and main image are from the Our Daily Bread Happy Birthday set.  The sentiment was given to me.  I colored with shimmery Brilliance  and Twinkling H20's. The rain drops were also a gift. The ribbon and lace have been in my stash a long time, and everything else has been around for at least several months.

Thanks for being a friend

This is a sentiment that can be used for a number of situations - I am thinking this is suitable as a thank you for being a friend kind of card.  The DP is from a packet of Costco double sided cs.  The flowers are Petaloo, and I used the Cuttlebug Script and borders embossing folders.

Happy Anniversary Dale & Marilyn

More friends will have an anniversary this week.  This image is perfect for our age group LOL!!!
The dp is from a large pack of Costco double sided cs.  The image from Mo's Digital Pencil is colored with Prismas, and the sentiment is Kolette Hall ($1 stamp).  The swirls are part of a die cut.  Velvety blue ribbon is by Bobbin.  I added some sparkle to the butterfly, the swirls and the sentiment.
I used the layout, including the butterfly and the swirls, as well as the look of the papers, as a case:  http://www.cinspirations.blogspot.com/

This image is from the Thoughts and Prayers set by SU.  I will add a sentiment later.  The dp and grey are RAK gifts from an SCS friend.  I used the Cuttlebug Victoria embossing folder, and a Petaloo flower.

Sympathy - pinks and purples

I try to keep sympathy cards subtle and simple - I hope this is simple enough.  The image is Endless Creations, and I believe the sentiment is from a Verve set (it has become separated!).
DP- Recollections;  crystals, lace (garage sale find),  Shapeabilities butterfly, Nesties ovals.
Sketch:  http://cardpositioningsystems.blogspot.com/

Favorite: Black & white with a touch of red

I like this simple sketch.  For the moment, black and white, with a bit of red, is a favorite color.  The DP is Recollections, and the embossing is Floral Fantasy by cuttlebug.

Happy Annniversary, Jerry & MaryLou

This image is perfect for an anniversary card for several people I know!  The image is a digital from Mo's Digital Pencil.  I colored with Prismas, added Petaloo flowers, a charm, and some crystals.  I had hoped to enter several challenges, but my internet connection has been terrible, and I could not get this uploaded yesterday, so I missed deadlines LOL!

Eat dessert first!

I added the bee for the second image - kind of hidden behind the main Fluffles (Stampendous) image.  The DP is some DCWV I have had for a long time.  I have a strip of brown ribbon, and the bow of cream colored ribbon.  The sentiment is from the 7Gypsies Library stamp.
Use 2 ribbons (I have had the brown for several years; the cream is only a year or so old:  http://shoppingourstash.blogspot.com/

Thinking of Ty

A friend asked me to do a special card.  Her nephew, and adopted boy of 13, is undergoing especially difficult times.  He was severely burned (by overly hot bathwater) as an infant. Now he must undergo special procedures daily, for several weeks, in an effort to save his legs.  I really have no understanding of the medical aspect, but it has to do with stimulating the growth that was inhibited by the burns.  My friend says he maintains a positive attitude.  He loves horses.  I made this 5.5x8.5.  The DP is from a Costco set.  The image and leaf punch are gifts.  I added brads, twine, and his name in CB Olivia lettering.  The blue layer is embossed with distressed stripes (CB).
I do not often consider horses to be "critters" but I hope they qualify:  http://tuesdaythrowdown.blogspot.com/
I rotated the sketch, and used twine:  http://blog.ribboncarousel.com/

Sympathy for a man

This is from SU Thoughts and Prayers. The die cut is a CB border, and the sentiment is Rubber Stampede.
I thought this would be good to send to a man - probably not what was intended for this challenge, but a card I needed to make.

Father's Day, once more

I now have a good collection for the craft sale tomorrow.  I hope they sell!  (Secret - the inside verse is generic enough that I can change the sentiment on the front!)  The DP is Recollections; the die cut is a Cuttlebug border, and the verse is JustRite.

This is a Stampin' Bella Fella image.  I used DP from DCWV, colored with Prismas.
Everything is at least 6 months old, and I have had the ribbon, Nesties oval dies, and the gifted image for much longer than that.  The sentiment is JustRite, also at least 6 months old.

Sympathy

It is always a good idea to have some sympathy cards on hand.  The image and sentiment are SU Thoughts and Prayers.  I used CB Swiss Dots and Victoria folders, a Nestie die, and tiny butterfly punch.

100 in 100 #21

Cut out to display image

The image is a digi from the Sketching Stamper and the sentiment from a Recollection collection.  I cut matching openings in the embossed layer and the Creative Memories DP layer.  I added a gold sticker strip and leaf die cuts from Shapeabilities Orchard Harvest.  The flowers are Petaloo.

Vintage masculine

The JustRite challenge is to do a vintage masculine card.  I am ok with distressed, but I need lots of practice with vintage.  I see so many cards that make use of several stamps, often randomly placed - combining with shading. I am certainly open to suggestions.  The DP is Recollections, and the Beached Boat was in my digi file - the label says Nina Jay.  I inadvertently left many of my JustRite behind for the summer, but I do have this Happy Everything set.  I added portions of one of the Attic Collection stamps (EK Success).

These girl friends look like they are having so much fun.  I am sure they have either just finished their fitness exercises or will be working out soon!  The image is Art impressions.  I colored with Prismas and shiny gel markers.  The gold strip I have had for several years!  The flowers are by Petaloo.

Masculine again!

Here is another masculine card - birthday this time.  Once more, Art Impressions, Prismas, and various papers from my stash.  The die cut is a Cuttlebug border.  I added some impressions from a stamp in the Attic collection to add some nostalgia.

Father's Day

I have lots of fishing and golfing images, but it is time to do something different!  Again, this is from my stash of images (mostly from Wish RAK on SCS).  It might be Noble Deer by SU.  The sentiment is JustRite.  I embossed the Kraft cs with Distressed Stripes.  The DP at the top is DCWV.  The card is completed with brown and white striped Baker's Twine and brads.  This is #12 of my 100 cards in 100 days - without purchasing new supplies.

Michael's Graduation

This  is a remake of a graduation card I made a few weeks ago.  The invitation colors were the same - blue, silver and white.  I cut out the logo from the invitation, and made a diploma with his name.  Pretty simple - but it is probably the check that is most important.

 Just another version.

For Ron

This is for a friend who will celebrate his birthday on Sunday.  DH and two friends all have birthdays the same day, and all three are avid fishermen - makes the theme pretty easy - except I need to have a variety of cards on hand!  The image is Art Impressions, and the seal is All Night Media - both rather old stamps.  I used the bubble EF, some twine, and a scrap of DP.  I wanted to get the lures to show, so trimmed a corner of that layer to make it fit.  The sentiment is computer generated.

  1. I have completed another of my masculine cards, as well as another 100 cards in 100 days - using items on hand - no  new purchases!  The stamp is by Embossing Arts Co., colored with Prismas.  I used two CB folders - Happy Birthday, and Bubbles.  The DP has been in my stash a LONG time!  (I cannot figure out what I did to change my format LOL!)

Too many candles

Can some one tell me who makes this stamp and sentiment?  They were in my WIshRAK stash.  I colored with metallic gel pens. I used a product I have had for a while and used now the first time - called Enamel Accents.  It is the frosting.  I added some glittery stickles for the dots.  The fancy punch is Fiskars, and the corners are Nesties photo corners.  I am going to make a lot of masculine cards (birthdays for DH and two friends - all on Sunday). We are going to have a big party!  This is about the extent of flourishes I will use!

Aged to Perfection

Card #3 in 100 in 100 - making 100 cards in 100 days, using supplies I have on hand.  I can do it!
I am also making a number of cards to sell at a craft sale in our RV park - DH and two friends have birthdays on June 10 - DH will be 80.  I think there will be requests for cards.  I need to get busy.
This uses an Art Impressions image, Recollection DP and Prismas.

Shuffle Slower

I need to have some masculine/"golden oldies" cards available - DH, his twin brother, and a friend celebrate birthdays later this week.  DH and his twin will be 80 and the friend is not far behind.
I am also beginning another challenge - create 100 cards in 100 days without adding to our supply stash.  I know I could probably do 1000 with what I have, except for card bases and maybe some colored cs for mats.  Here is the link for the 100 in 100 challenge:  http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/blogging-groups-f290/100-cards-projects-100-days-t554358-3.html

I used a GinaK image, watercolored, with some stripes for accents.  The corners are from a CB paisley die, and the bg is the CB Script.

Using script: bg:  http://www.trimmiescraftchallenge.blogspot.com//
